While we are proud of everything we create, we are pleased to share with you a few of our favorite dishes to serve as a starting point on your culinary adventure. Welcome to Darbar.
“Shuruat,” or appetizers, are, of course, the perfect starting point. “Samosas” are fried savory pastry triangles, stuffed with a spicy potato, pea, and lamb mixture. They are also available vegetarian-style. Onion “Pakora” are onions dipped in a seasoned garbanzo bean batter and deep-fried until tender and crispy.
“Hamara Tandoor ,” or Hot Clay Tandoor is Pakistan’s version of barbecue, done in a special clay oven. Choose from marinated beef, lamb, or chicken “Seekh Kebabs,” skewered pieces of minced meat, or try the “Tandoori Fish Tikka,” a grilled fish filet. If you like really spicy, try “Prawn Vindaloo,” a dish of gigantic prawns served in our Indian “Vindaloo” sauce, a blend of tomatoes, onions, spices, and chilies, chilies, and more chilies!
We also have many different, freshly-baked tandoori breads, stuffed with your choice of meats or vegetables or cheese. Naan breads is also used for our sandwich wraps, like tandoori chicken, served with a fresh mint sauce, lettuce, and cucumber. They are the ideal accompaniment with our lentil soup. Remember to save room for dessert, too. Our comforting rice pudding is the perfect end to a perfect meal.
Whether you join us for our spectacular lunch buffet, or a leisurely evening meal, your experience at Darbar will be unforgettable.
